Parents Facing Charges After Children Test Positive for Meth

MONETT, Mo. — A man and woman from Monett are facing charges after their children tested positive for meth.

Percy Rollins and Amber Benbrook are both charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child as well as possession of a controlled substance.

Monett police say they were executing a warrant for stolen property when they found three children under the age of 10 living in deplorable conditions in a detached garage.

Authorities say they found a stolen stereo, as well as knives and a meth pipe within the children’s reach.

The couple is currently being held in the Barry County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
