SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A long-time Springfield icon is up for sale, Pappy’s Cafe is looking for new ownership.
Owners Scott Keese and his wife Debra have owned Pappy’s for 17 years and are wanting to retire.
The couple will be selling the restaurant location at Main and Nichols and the house and property it’s on, which was listed Tuesday.
Keese says he is not sure what the owners plan but he is sure they will carry on the Pappy’s tradition.
Pappy’s currently holds the oldest Beer by the Drink license in Springfield, which it purchased in 1933 after the end of prohibition.
