MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo.– An illegal immigrant accused of killing five people in Missouri and Kansas has requested that his trial be moved to a county with a larger Hispanic population, according to CBS affiliate KCTV.

Pablo Serrano-Vitorino is accused of killing four people in Kansas City, Kan., and another in Montgomery County, Mo. earlier this year.

Serrano-Vitorino’s attorney filed the motion this week asking that the murder trial be moved out of Montgomery County and into a county with at least nine percent Hispanic population.

The motion was made in hopes that it would increase the chances that Hispanics would be chosen on the jury as Serrano-Vitorino’s party believes he would not get a fair trial in counties with such a low Hispanic population.

Serrano-Vitorino does not speak English.

Suggested locations by the legal party include Sullivan (18.6%), McDonald (11.2 %) and Pulaski (9%).
