Ozarks Tonight: LFCS Helping Moms in Need

News

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Lutheran Family and Children Services are increasing virtual support services to reach women struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Heather Wall, MS, LPC, CRADC is the Director of Parenting Services at LFCS. She described how mothers are making sacrifices in their personal and professional lives in order to provide for the emotional and physical well-being of their children.

Nationally, 71% of households with children rely on women’s income for their economic well-being, according to a LFCS news release. That’s why it’s critical women have support, both emotionally and financially, during this unprecedented time.

In honor of Mother’s Day and Mental Health Awareness Month, both of which are in May, Lutheran Family and Children Services is asking for donations to support women and families during these uncertain times.

Donations will be accepted throughout the entire month of May at lfcsmo.org/donate-now.
