Ozarks Tonight: Habitat’s Creating Healthy Homes Program

Rev Steve Heather KOLR

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Many families in Springfield are in need of home repairs. The problem is many simply can’t afford to do it. Habitat for Humanity was recently awarded a $750,000 grant to complete repairs for low-income homeowners. The money will fund repairs for about 40 households.

Homeowners who are interested in applying for the Creating Healthy Homes loan program can find an application form on the HFHS website or should contact Nancy Williams, Partner Services Director, at 417-829-4001 x 105 or nancywilliams@habitatspringfieldmo.org.

Applications are also needed for the homebuying program, which gives individuals the opportunity to build or renovate and buy a home to be their own.
