SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Governor Mike Parson signed a bill changing helmet requirements in Missouri on Tuesday, July 15, 2020.

Anyone 26 or older won’t have to wear a helmet if they meet certain health insurance standards.

The new legislation, according to Senator Eric Burlinson, puts Missouri on an equal playing field with neighboring states.

Burlinson hopes the new helmet rules will attract more motorcycle riders to Missouri.
