Overnight house fire expected to cause slowdowns for Weller Elementary parents

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A house fire has closed down part of Weller Avenue as authorities investigate the damage.

Thursday morning a house fire broke out on E Blaine St. The family was able to get out safely with no injuries.

The damage is primarily inside the residence. Springfield Fire Department is bringing in a Fire Marshall to investigate the cause.

Traffic delays can be expected for some families dropping off their children at Weller Elementary.
