SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Over a thousand bikers gathered in Springfield Sunday for a good cause. It was the 37th Annual Toys for Tots motorcycle ride.

The event started at Corwin Ford on South Glenstone Avenue and ended at Transport Graphics on North Glenstone and with bikers dropping off donations to the American Legion Post on South Scenic Avenue.

At the Post bikers got to eat, hear live music and enjoy some of the best weather the event has seen in years.

“We’re a very caring community, a very giving community,” said Michael Cotter, one of the riders in the event. “We do a lot. Whether you’re a one percent club, a ministry to being engaged in the community and raise money for charities, for families, for Christmas, and a lot of different things throughout the year, so I think this is a good reflection of the motorcycle community and what it’s truly about.”
