SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Missouri Job Center is hosting a “One Stop Pop Up” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 10 at Park Central Square.
The remote booth will be located outside of the Springfield Greene County Library branch on the square, providing the resources of the job center to those who may not be able to travel to other job center locations.
The pop up will include regular job center services like resume writing, job search assistance, skills assesments and information on job skills classes.
“I’ve just come out of prison like two years ago,” explained one participant Jeff Trumbo, who is currently seeking employment. “[The pop up has] different job opportunities, different classes we can go through as far as finding work– it’s a big help to us and it means something to me you know.”
Missouri Job Center employees will customize assistance to applicants depending on their personal goals.
“We can help if there are any barriers to employment that you have such as transportation, child care– we can also get you plugged into those types of resources as well,” said Missouri Job Center spokesperson Katherine Trombetta.
