NIXA, Mo. — Nixa’s own hometown Olympian, Courtney Frerichs, will be back home for the school’s first football game tonight.
Frerichs will have 500 photos of her Olympic run on hand to sign for the public.
And at halftime, the school and the city will recognize Frerichs for her achievements.
Gates to the game open at 6 pm. She’ll be signing autographs until 6:45.
Frerichs competed in the 3000 meter steeplechase Monday and finished 11th in the competition of 18 runners – her time of 9:22.87 seconds.
Rio is her first Olympic games.
