LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Fit 4 Mom is a revolutionary new workout group taking over Little Rock.

Melissa Smith, the owner, says she became part of the group after her military husband was deployed and she started to feel alone after her pregnancy.

“The classes helped remind me that the life I had before I was pregnant didn’t have to stop,” says Smith.

Mom’s and soon-to-be moms now have a way to stay healthy, which is vital during pregnancy.

“I’m 32 weeks pregnant and I am able to do a lot of the workouts with modifications,” explains Smith. “All of our instructors are both pre and post natal fitness certified.”

Class schedules vary, but most of the classes are held outdoors, weather permitting.

“It’s so important for moms to be out in the fresh air and warm sun,” says Smith

Some of the moms say that the classes have helped with socialization and helping to be a better mom.

“We talk about real things and experiences,” says Smith. “There is more than you just being a mom. You have a life too – you’re important too.”
