WAYNESVILLE, Mo. – Travelers now have a quick way to get from Fort Leonard Wood to St. Louis.

A new service began Tuesday that will let you make the trip in less than 30 minutes.

Contour Airlines launched its first flight at the Waynesville-St. Robert regional airport Tuesday morning.

The first flight flew to St. Louis, where community leaders enjoyed lunch at the Crowne Plaza, and then return to Fort Leonard Wood.

It’s been a long-time goal of non-profit group ‘Sustainable Ozarks Partnership’ to bring jet service to the region.

Tickets cost between $39 and $99.
