MSU Students Graduate, Celebrate with Families

News

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — About 1,500 students at Missouri State University are getting an early holiday present — their diplomas!

Two ceremonies happened Friday at JQH Arena.

Of those 1,500 degrees, just over 1,100 were bachelors.

Another 385 were masters and six were doctorate degrees.

The graduates say they can’t think of a better way to celebrate with their families

“It’s just amazing,” Pablo Rosales said. “It’s something I didn’t think about it. My parents moved from Argentina to here so it’s something for them.”

“It’s really fun,” Katlyn Hunkinn said. “I like being able to see them in the crowd as I was walking up. It’s all really exciting. I’m the youngest of four so they’re ready for me to be out.”
