SPRINGFIELD – It wasn’t just children looking for Easter eggs on Sunday.
Mother’s brewing in Springfield hosted an egg hunt for adults.
For $5, adults could hunt for 900 eggs and other goodies tucked away and hidden in the backyard at Mother’s on South Grant.
After the egg hunt, people were invited to stay and spend time at the brewery which brought back it’s Holy Moly brew special just for the occasion.
Organizers say more than 200 people took part, and their goal is to give people somewhere to go who may not have plans on Easter Sunday.
“People that either celebrated on Thursday or they’re students and their family is out of town,” Ashley Daily, Mother’s Retail Manager said. “Or people who don’t celebrate Easter, we just wanted a gathering in our backyard.”
Daily says Mother’s plans to host the adult egg hunt again next year on Easter Sunday.
