JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. A Missouri Health Care provider is taking an active approach to decreasing the use of opioid.

Starting April 1, Missouri Health Net is covering new treatment options for chronic pain.

New treatment options include physical and behavioral therapy as well as other medication options.

The provider also estimates that these new treatment options will reduce costs by lowering prescription drug costs and avoiding the need for other medical services.
