MO Department of Conservation Adds more Cases of CWD to the List

SPRINGFIELD, Mo- The Missouri Department of Conservation has added more cases of Chronic Wasting Disease to its list.

Out of about 25,000 white-tailed deer tested, they discovered 33 new positive samples.

Overall there were 10 counties across the state and three of those reside in the Ozarks. Polk, Cedar, and Saint Clair Counties all tested positive for CWD. 

These new findings bring the yearly total to 75 cases of Chronic Wasting Disease. 

So far no cases have been found in Central Missouri or the Missouri/Arkansas border.
