CARL JUNCTION, Mo. – Gracie Hart is a seventh grader at Carl Junction Junior High. Her father is enlisted in the U.S military.
He has been deployed in Kuwait for 11 months.
The school banded together Friday to surprise her during a school presentation.
They did this by showing her a special video filled with memories, while her father walked in to surprise her
“Whenever I saw the video at first I didn’t know who it was and then I was like that’s my dad and then I looked over and I saw him walking through and I just froze,” Hart said.
Hart says she is looking forward to spending time with her father now that he is home.
She adds the school and community has been a big support to her during her time of need
