CRAWFORD COUNTY, Mo.– Have you ever heard of or seen a doe with antlers? Well, if not, you have now.
Hunter Matthew Williams shot an eight-point doe last weekend in Bourbon, Mo.
According to The Missouri Department of Conservation, a doe can develop antlers depending on the amount of testosterone it has.
MDC also says “some antlered does are actually hermaphrodites and may have both male and female reproductive parts. The male parts may not be visually apparent, but remain internal. This one was not.”
