McCaskill and Blunt Team Up To Fight Drought-Affected Farmers and Ranchers

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill are teaming up to try and help Missouri’s farmers and ranchers.

The senators say both are experiencing the worst drought the state has seen in since 2012.

Blunt, a Republican, and McCaskill, a Democrat, sent a letter asking U.S. Agriculture officials to release protected lands so farmers and ranchers can have more land for haying and grazing.

The Senators say they hope the USDA will help Missouri’s ag-workers get back on their feet.
