Here’s a look at the markets for December 4, 2017

The Nikkei slippd 112 points today in Tokyo.
On Wall Street Friday, the Dow dipped 40 points.
The Nasdaq fell 26.


Expect to see a lot of new buildings in the new year. The Commerce Department says construction spending is surging. October saw the best gain in five months  – a 1.4 percent increase! Non-residential construction and government projects lead the pack.

Macy’s is looking to put some people to work. The retail company increased seasonal hiring after a strong start to the holiday shopping season. An additional 7,000 temporary workers are being asked to send in their resumes.

And if you’re looking for a gift for someone with a sweet tooth, how about a year of free cupcakes! Sprinkles is offering customers a chance to win 365 days worth of the desserts. 24 winners will be chosen by National Cupcake Day, December 15th.
