Man who Led Deputies on High-Speed Chase Sentenced to Prison


SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield man who drove into a deputy’s car and led officers on a high-speed chase has been sentenced to nine years in prison.

A federal judge sentenced Randall Hale today after hale pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Greene County deputies found Hale passed out in a stolen truck in Nov. of 2016. As deputies approached, Hale put the truck in reverse, slamming into a patrol car.

Hale then led deputies on a chase that reached 85 miles an hour on Sunshine Street.

He was arrested by Springfield Police officers who found weapons that had been reported stolen.
