Man Gets $1 MIL Bond in Pulaski County Stabbing

DIXON, Mo. – A Pulaski County man was charged Wednesday for a stabbing in Dixon, Missouri.

21-year-old Fred J. Laux of Dixon was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly stabbing Austin Ambrosia three times Monday evening.

According to court documents, the stabbing happened on West Chestnut Street. After the stabbing, the victim went to the Dixon Ambulance Base where he was treated and taken to the hospital.

Laux was arrested Tuesday morning at another home by Pulaski County deputies.

Laux admitted to investigators that he and the victim were involved in an altercation after Laux said AmbrosIa stole money from his wallet. Laux said he stabbed AmbrosIa with a knife and assaulted him with brass knuckles. Laux went on and said he was intoxicated and under the influence during the incident.

He was charged with felony first-degree assault, felony unlawful possession of an illegal weapon, felony armed criminal action and felony unlawful use of a weapon; his bond was set at $1 million, cash only.

A future court date was not yet set.

Court documents showed Laux was charged with assault in 2014 and 2015 in both Pulaski and Osage’s Counties.
