SPRINGFIELD — A 29 year-old Springfield man is found guilty by a Greene County jury of assault on a police officer.
The prosecutor’s office says Christopher Lee Jellison was pulled over by police back in may at Grand and John Q. Hammons Parkway.
Officers say the vehicle came up as stolen and when they tried to arrest Jellison, he pulled a handgun and placed it against the side of one of the officer’s.
The other officer knocked the gun away and Jellison was detained.
Jellison had four prior felony convictions.
He will be sentenced in January.
