A man charged in the death of a 3-year-old North Carolina girl makes his first court appearance today.
This is 32-year-old Earl Kimrey, the live-in boyfriend of the child’s mother.
He was taken into custody and charged with concealing Mariah Woods’ death, obstruction of justice, burglary and possession of stolen property.
Mariah’s body was recovered from a local creek about 25 miles from her home.
Police said Kimrey removed the child’s body from the scene of her death and took her to the creek.
