WICHITA, Ks. — The man charged in a deadly swatting incident in Wichita, Kansas back in December was arraigned in court Friday, June 29.
A trial date for Tyler Barriss is now set for Oct. 1.
He is one of three people accused of making a false call to 911 that resulted in the death of 28-year-old Andrew Finch.
Barriss is charged with 12 counts, including making false information, interstate threats and conspiracy.
Police say the call that led officers to Finch’s home was allegedly a prank after an online argument over a video game.
Barriss pleaded not guilty.
