MAMMOTH SPRINGS, Ark. — A man is accused of robbing a Mammoth Spring drug store.

Fulton County Sheriff Albert Roork says that a 35-year-old white male walked into the Palace Drug Store in Mammoth Spring just before 11 am Saturday and demanded Oxycodone after pulling a gun. After receiving the drug, Sheriff Roork says the suspect left in a light-colored car with Missouri plates.

Just after 6:30 pm Saturday, a Howell County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the subject traveling south on Highway 17 toward Lanton at a high rate of speed. The suspect stopped the car and was taken into custody a short time later, and taken to the Howell County Jail pending extradition.

The suspect is not being identified, pending formal charges of armed robbery and theft. Charges are expected later this week.
