SPRINGFIELD – Civil Kitchen, the restaurant affected by an electrical fire which caused it to shut down Dec. 21., is set to reopen tomorrow.

The roof of the building that Civil Kitchen resides in caught fire due to an electrical issue.

Water was sprayed on the building to contain the fire, which caused water damage and further issues within the building.

The restaurant occupies parts of the bottom two floors, and the upper floors contain apartments.

Civil Kitchen will reopen tomorrow, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m, the restaurant said on it’s Facebook page.
