SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The woman currently in charge of the Springfield Greene County 911 emergency communications will now have a bigger role in public safety.

Zim Schwartze will now serve as the Missouri Capitol Police Chief.

She will be in charge of security for the capitol in Jefferson City.

Schwartze has served Springfield and Greene County since 2013.
