MONETT, Mo. — Hospital leaders offered tours today, Jan. 27, at the construction site of the new Cox Hospital being built along Highway 60.
Foundations have been poured and walls are going up. Hospital leaders say that the old facility was in a residential area and made sense at the time of construction.
The new location is being built with growth in mind.
“It makes sense for us to be on a thoroughfare,” said Darren Bass, president of Cox Monett. “It really makes sense for us to be accessible for people who are coming in or out of Monett as well as this is kind of where Monett is growing. With a new industrial development going on just south of here, we are very blessed to be positioned in this area now and for the future.”
The 42 million dollar facility is expected to be completed in 2021.
