Three hunters suffer self-inflicted injuries during opening weekend in southwest Missouri

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Three hunters accidentally shot themselves during the opening weekend of the November firearms season, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.

This happened in southwest Missouri and the injuries were non-life threatening.

MDC is still investigating the incidents but did remind everyone to handle their firearms with caution.

The November portion of Missouri’s firearms deer season runs through Nov. 24.
