Mo. — State officials are working to make good on the constitutional amendment Missouri voters approved last year.

Amendment one called for the state to redraw election maps.

That involves hiring a state demographer.

This person can’t be affiliated with any political party.

Right now, state officials are deciding between six applicants.

Each applicant has to disclose their financial interests as part of the process.
