WEST PLAINS, Mo. — A Howel County man got a call from someone claiming to be with the West Plains Electric Department saying he needed access to the man’s home to check some meters.
Police say this was false and to beware people make these calls to try and gain access to your home to see what could be valuable inside.
Authorities say call the city to check the legitimacy of any such calls.
