SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Webster County Health Unity received a donation of six powered-air purifying respirators (PAPR units) from Springfield’s Convoy of Hope.

Ford and 3M developed the PAPR units for use in reducing exposure to airborne particles.

The units include a hood and face shield to cover the head and shoulders of the individual wearing it. The provided supply of filtered air can last for eight hours.
