Police set up perimeter west of Downtown Springfield

Local News

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield police set up a large perimeter approximately from Elm Street to Mt. Vernon on Monday, Jan. 25.

KOLR10s crew on the scene saw what appeared to be a bomb robot rolling around on the street. There were several police cars and other first-responder vehicles.

According to some roommates living in a home near the incident, Kylie Lucas and Bex Hudson said they heard someone say “fire in the hole” three times and heard a few explosions.

The roommates said they live streamed the incident from their backyard on Facebook.

You can watch KOLR10’s Frances Lin’s interview with Lucas and Hudson in the video below.
