NRA cancels annual meeting planned for September in Springfield

The National Rifle Association has canceled its annual meeting of members that was scheduled to take place in September in Springfield due to health and safety concerns with COVID.

The Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau has made it clear, this event should not be confused with the much larger annual NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, which attracts about 45,000 people each year.

The members meeting scheduled to take place in Springfield should only attract about 1,000-1,200 people, according to the Visitor’s Bureau.


SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The NRA has announced that the 149th Annual Meeting of Members will be held at the Springfield Expo Center on September 5, 2020.

All members are invited to attend.

The full annual meeting was originally scheduled for April 18, 2020 in Nashville.

The Springfield Expo Center is located at 635 E. Saint Louis Street.

The Member’s Meeting is expected to host 1,000-1,200 people.
