Multiple agencies investigate shots fired call at Sparta Middle School

SPARTA, Mo.- Several law enforcement officers responded to a shots fired call at Sparta Middle School Tuesday morning.

According to Sparta Police Chief Trampus Taylor, officers searched the middle school and the surrounding area and deemed it safe. Officers gave the school the all clear, and the district resumed normal activities.

Officials with the Sparta Police Department, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the incident.
