How to prevent firework-related injuries

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Summer is offically here, which means barbecues, beaches, and injuries.

Unforunately, the 4th of July ranks as one of the most dangerous holidays in America.

The team at surveyed 1,170 Americans on Pollfish in May to test their knowledge of firework-related injuries and compared the most popular predictions to the most recent Fireworks Annual Report by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Watch the video above to hear from Dr. Krisi Causa, with Mercy Hospital. She shares the most common injuries Mercy sees during the 4th of July Holiday. We also surveyed some local fireworks enthusiasts about what they think are the most dangerous fireworks.
