SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is encouraging residents to use purple on Halloween to show support for a safer event.

If a home or person is decorated in purple, children can know that precautions have been taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Health Department made a list of ideas and alternatives to traditional Halloween activities on its website.
