Greene County Detention Officer passes away from COVID-19 complications

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The Greene County Sheriff’s Office has announced a detention officer has passed away due to COVID-19 complications.

Detention Officer Dwight Willis worked with the sheriff’s office for 19 years. He passed away Sunday morning.

“We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time,” said in the press release.
