Flags fly at half-staff in honor of fallen firefighter

PECULIAR, Mo. — Missouri’s governor has ordered flags to fly at half-staff this weekend to honor a firefighter who died fighting a house fire in Peculiar, Missouri.

Charles McCormick died earlier this week when he fell through the floor, and into the basement of the burning home.

His funeral is scheduled for Saturday.

Governor Mike Parson has ordered flags to fly at half- staff that day to honor McCormick.
