Construction begins on Branson Skyscraper

Local News

BRANSON — The transformation of the skyline on the Branson strip begins as the much-anticipated Skyscraper thrill ride gets put into place.

Today, beams for the 170-foot tall structure went up. The Skyscraper resembles a giant windmill with propeller arms that will swing riders about 55 miles per hour, pulling about 4 G’s as they come around the bottom.

The Skyscraper is being brought to Branson by Tracks Family Fun Parks, the same people who brought the Giant Ferris Wheel to the strip. The ride is expected to open before the end of the month.
