SPRINGFIELD — There’s a new place for people Springfield to have a quiet moment to themselves.
It’s all to honor Doctor Todd Schaible, who founded Burrell Behavioral Health.
Burrell hosted a dedication ceremony for its remodeled Reflection Walk this afternoon at their main campus, on Bradford Parkway.
Schaible founded Burrell back in 1977. He died in 2016.
Those who knew him called him a visionary.
“It’s hard to honor a person like to because he was so instrumental to bringing mental health to the of the state of Missouri,” said Fred Hall at the dedication.
Burrell is hosting a community event at the lake next Thursday.
The “Time To Chat” walk is happening at 7 that morning.
It’s in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month.
