UPDATE 4/24: The boil advisory for Mansfield has now been lifted. All test samples have come back negative and the water is considered uncontaminated.

MANSFIELD, Mo. – A boil advisory will begin at 3 pm on Thursday, April 21, for Mansfield, according to David Swopes of the Mansfield Water Department.

Residents are urged to boil water until further notice.

The contamination may have occurred during water tower maintenance, according to the Water Department.

About 1,200 residents are affected by the contamination.
