SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (news-leader) — I have information, Faylene, but it would be a stretch to call it a “scoop.”

The property has been vacant since August 2016 when Heritage Cafeteria closed after 56 years of business.

Heritage was a family-owned meat-and-potatoes place – known for decades as a dining destination for an over-70 crowd that was sad to see it go.

The property is for sale or for lease, says Scott F. Harrell, president of the company that has the listing for the building and much of the parking lot near it.

In total, it’s 1.4 acres.
