LEBANON, Mo. — A Lebanon teacher was sentenced today in a case of sexual conduct with a student.
Elizabeth Morgan, 31, was sentenced to one year of suspended execution of sentence along with two years of tracking probation with Child Protective Services.
Morgan was arrested on Jan. 12 after the Lebanon Police Department became aware on Jan. 5 of an investigation of the relationship between the Lebanon High School drama teacher and a male high school student.
Enough evidence was gathered during the investigation after speaking with the student, witnesses and viewing electronic evidence to pursue charges against Morgan.
Morgan was fired on Jan. 22 after a unanimous vote from the Lebanon R-3 Board of Education. She had been on leave since Jan. 5 when the investigation began.
