Lebanon police responded to the Express Stop on Mill-Creek road after a report of the armed robbery just after noon on June 10.

The 27- year old occupant of the blue Suburban had stopped for fuel when the 38 year-old suspect approached him trying to steal the vehicle.

The suspect took off in the stolen car and was later taken into custody in Springfield.

Deputies found out the car the suspect left in Lebanon was also stolen.

The victim was transported to Mercy-Lebanon with non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspect was taken to the Laclede County Jail.
