JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri lawmakers met with two lawyers who are representing the office of Gov. Greitens.
The attorney’s told a special committee that if legislators are considering impeaching the governor, it should be only for the worst offense and hope the process is fair to Greitens.
This comes after the committee found Greitens staff took a donor list from a charity and transferred it to his campaign team.
The legal teams wants witness testimony to be public as well.
We also found also out today the committee has repeatedly asked the governor to testify before them.
Lawmakers meet this Friday to discuss disciplinary actions for Greitens.
