SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–The democratic candidate for Missouri governor got an endorsement from the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police in Springfield.
Chris Koster is facing GOP gubernatorial candidate Eric Greitens in November.
In an interview with KOLR10, Koster said: “There are complicated decisions to be made every day.. and the job requires experience.”
And he feels, the deciding factor for voters is preparedness to do the job.
Koster said,”one candidate, I don’t even think knows where the department of public safety is in Jefferson City. I don’t know if he knows where the Jefferson state office building is. These are fundamental aspects of operating a government, that are important for a governor to have when they begin on day one.”
The Missouri Fraternal Order of Police represents more than 6,500 police men and women in the state.
To date– Koster advocated for body cameras and rifle-related vests to keep officers safe, among other things.
