Kites Fly High at Cherry Blossom Festival

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —  Kites were flying high Saturday at Nathaniel Greene Close Memorial Park.

Many people headed to the park for the Cherry Blossom Kite and Pinata Festival.

This is the 13th year for th event.

Sister Cities partners with the park board to give back to the community.

A new “Peace Through People” Pavilion is being built at the park, which will be ready this fall.
