SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–The Kitchen Inc. in Springfield wants you to help lay the foundation of its new campus.

The kitchen is a non-profit organization aimed and ending homelessness.

Ground was broken on the new two and a half acre campus at Glenstone and Chestnut Expressway back in June.

A campaign was launched in 2015 to pay for construction, and it’s currently at 97% on the initial $4-million goal.

“We’re asking the community to just help us out, and get that last three percent and they can do this through the purchase of one of these commemorative bricks,” said Roz Palmer, the Community Development Manager.

Those commemorative bricks range in price from $100 to $200. You can buy them at thekitcheninc.org

The new 14-apartment shelter is expected to be complete and ready to serve the homeless this next spring.
